Freshly mowed and burned. A bald eagle flew over but I was slow on the uptake.

What grain do we have covering the ground half an inch deep?

Again, nice pics Geno. 😂
I’m still crossed eyed.

I worked a field one year and it taught me
I want no part of that work. Planting safflower.
Picking peaches was another that showed me
I was a p uzzy.

Ok I’m stumped here. How far north in California are you?

We just had a stack of hay bales burn off
for 6 days that I counted.
Not sure why I’m telling you that but going to and for from work was a sight. I didn’t imagine
they would burn that wrong.

Peaches are demon spawn. I bought 11 acres of an old tomato farm on the line between St. Clair and Blount Counties in AL on the ridge of Straight Mountain. I plugged the drain pipe for the dry pond I found and poof - next rain we had a 2 acre pond.

On the dam was a peach tree 40 feet high. It had hundreds every year. They were incredible. Every year.

Ten years later I buy a place in town in Tuscaloosa, AL. it has several peach trees 20' or so. Every year we tried something different including spraying every two weeks and never once got an edible peach from those things. Not one single time.

Yes sir - it truly is. And that eagle was not pretty. Kind of a scruffy looking head and tail. I figure it just achieved adulthood.
