I've only ever recovered one. 165 gr "X". PMC Eldorado factory load. Out of 200 bought in the 90's for a custom Mauser 98 in 06 I built in 1993. I still have 41 rounds of this left.

I’ve never recovered a Barnes, but I did recover a GMX last fall from a 200# 8 point in Ga. It was a perfect mushroom. He ran about 40 yards. I was surprised by that!
Haven't recovered any Barnes. Have only shot 22 cal 62 TTSX at deer in the front end, and have caught none. I actually haven't caught any 22 cal bullets in deer. Even the fragile ones hitting big bones.
