She's being tested for kidney function, and I need to get in and have mine checked. I have never had any flu that caused more pain throughout my body. It made me dizzy, and I just took a tumble.

May consider adding in Ivermectin , get a Dr to Rx Budesonide with a nebulizer Qid, selenium, Viagra, Black Elderberry, ASA....
Keep in mind the virus is probably gone after 5-6 days but Cytokine storms hit about 7-12 days, often when people feel they are getting well.
Ivermectin and Budesonide or oral prednisone helps prevent that and reduces inflammation and swelling in bronchial tubes and can prevent secondary pneumonia.
Unfortunately most quacks rx 10 mg prednisone bid which isn't enough to do crap.
Those in the know will hit most women with 40 mg and men with 50mg in the AM when ones normal cortisol high for the cumulative effect.

Flint and Mrs speaker of the house went through one of the later variations in June...I've had some pretty good asskickings back in the day...but this took the cake. Body aches and coughing like I never experienced before. My daughter in law, Bach Sci Nursing gave us some advice....avoid going to the doctor. She had a full year rotation in ICU during the height of the original covid, so we took her at her word. But other than fat and lazy, we were pretty healthy to start with.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Hope you both get through it OK, it is pretty bad; especially the original strain. My wife, myself, and my mother-in-law got through it with the Vitamins and Ivermectin..My mother-in-law also took a Z pac, and some prescription drug to help with breathing. She is unvaxxed and old and over weight with other pre-existing conditions. She goes to a homeopathic doctor that prescribed the Ivermectin, Zpac, etc..
