Just what?? Trite four bar change sequence repeated to get a 16 bar nothing. Does not even have bridge section - just a little modulation to a guitar phrase - then back to the pap. And, the lyrics are sappy, at best. Is there supposed to be some significance there? Where? Well I thought it was a great song, so did a whole bunch of people apparently.

Birdwatcher - along with you, no doubt many others liked the song and felt it to be great, which is on the mark because musical tastes come in many shapes, colors and sizes. I like that - and playing music that other people like - and that I don't much like - has been one important and rewarding aspect of my life. A ton of people probably would not like, or even listen to, some music that I favor. All good In my reply, I was not at all criticizing any particular person's taste in music. In a skeletal form, I critiqued the construct and content of the song and asked about the significance of that post. The unexamined life - and unexamined other things - can lead to mundane.
