I have a question on .410 barrel attachment to fore end stock...the screw mechanism (running parallel to the barrel) that holds the fore end to the barrel after barrel is attached to the receiver...should the head of this screw (the long stock holding screw) always be a knurled head screw or do they sometimes put a slotted pan head screw and washer in place of the knurled head? I am thinking someone replaced the knurled stock holding screw with a different one on a .410 barrel I'm looking at buying...thoughts/comments, please, thanks

Pretty certain it didn't leave the factory that way. Too me that's a definite value hit.

That's my feeling, I'm just confirming my thought, because I only have one .410 '99 barrel and have only seen a few and none looked like this one I'm interested in. thanks
