My Stihl was $700-800 about 10-12yrs ago. It’s big and heavy and all beat to hell but it’s been a reliable beast of a powertool. Do it have a seat on it? Wow!

I have a gas powered Echo PAS system with most of the attachments. I’ve used the pole saw attachment the most and have worked it like a rented mule clearing limbs/ trees/ bushes hanging over and around my pasture fences, over 3 miles of fence. The pole saw has spoiled me and I’ll grab it first when limbing trees after they’re on the ground. The next most used attachment is the brush cutter with the red Renegade blade. It cuts everything that’s too small for the pole saw, saplings, vines, briars, vines, tall weeds/ grass, you name it. Never had a bit of trouble out of it, just replaced saw chains and brush blades.

I have recently been running Husky 525pt5s. Extremely reliable. No experience with the Echo. Stihls seem heavier, slower and a little less reliable.

I have used my Milwaukee M18 pole saw for several years doing volunteer trail maintenance. It has cut 10" trees out of the way. It cuts fast and way above it's pay grade. With the extra 3' extension it will reach way up there but gets a little top heavy. The chains are seriously sharp. Highly recommended.

Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
