700 rounds should be at least 400 dead animals. Mine. Three @ 200 yds

Shot a doe tonight at 529. Bullet hit and she went about 25 yards and went down. Just like all deer I've shot and I shoot alot, I'm seeing deer run inside 250 yards and either dropping or running a short distance beyond 300. That is with the 156 elite hunters. I'm gonna work up a load with the 140 interlocks and I bet those will anchor deer. That cartridge is a monster. Just got to get a bullet I can trust.

I know a guy who uses it on elk and loves it. Factory 143 ELDx. I loaded the old Speer 140 sptzr for a friends 264WM and it worked swell up close on little East Tx deer. Myself, my only real use of a 6.5 was in a real wildcat 6.5/284 (necked down Winchester 284 brass) but set up for the lighter weights, i.e 120-125 Noslers. I shot alot of pronghorn does, exotics (from Blackbuck to Fallow deer) etc and had fastest kills with the 120 NBT. I too would think lighter and softer (or that 127 TTSX is one I could live with) Good luck to you and have a ball experimenting!
