I did that when I was about 7....with a fork. I found out! me too , tried to make a magnet. Me too---with a bobby pin. Burned the hell out of my hand when it went off like a fuse. Ya’ll remember the little Stomper, battery operated 4wd toy trucks from the 80’s? We’d pull them for money or trucks. I discovered I could replace the factory wires with heavier wires and get more power from the battery. I won every pull. One day I decided I’d see how fast one would go plugged into a wall socket. I didn’t burn the house down, but I was sure scared I would! Man, it was fast until it burst into flames!
