I know, I know, this has been asked and answered before but can't find exactly what I'm looking for. What would be the approx. value of this 336? 1964 30-30 RC JM Stamp Serial starting with AA
Condition is 8.5-9/10 as it was used for hunting. Bluing is in very good condition, few small dings on stock. I know values fluctuate depending on time/demand. Just looking for a starting point if/when I list this.
Thanks

Prices are crazy and vary depending where you are. I would say $600 and up depending on how crazy the buyers are.

A bit late to the party here, but it seems to me... The best purchase prices often secured when to deal with a private party through the WTB, some such, Forums. Cutting out pro middle men, buyers & sellers often retaining their shorts! Good luck &.. Best! John Returning with postscript caution for both parties. Absent a face to face transaction KNOW your 'other' party involved. Long time Forum membership & reputation, a good recommendation!

I've been looking at a lot of 336's around here. The JM's demand more money. Of course, you guys know more about that than I do, but those are running about $800+ around here.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I would guesstimate $600.00- $900.00. It seems to me ,on here anyway, that the prices have softened just a bit.

JM Marlins are still holding value but the gun market in general is slow now. The 336 is still bringing $600-$800.

what I am seeing around here is more in the $700-$800 range for an average condition 30-30
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I've got a few levers to let go. JM Marlin 336RC 30-30 with P prefix(1957)clean rifle with only a box or two fired through and a Sears Model 54 (65') also 30-30 with pristine bore. I'd expect the Marlin to bring about double what the Winchester made Sears would bring.

The first week-end in April at the Tulsa show I saw 50+ JM 336’s priced between $1,200 and $1,400. I saw one table where there were two 336’s below $1,200.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally
