Can someone give me a link to where I can get a higher front sight to get it on target?

Gun Parts Co. used to sell a tall front sight blade that could be file-fitted to zero the Mausers with a 300 yard battle sight. I've always simply TIG welded a little material onto a standard front sight blade and filed it to whatever minimum range zero I wanted.

I remember seeing racks full of pristine 1909s at Montgomery Wards in 1961 or so. $35.00 IIRC. I was in 9th grade and $35 was a lot of money for a teenager back then.

Sears also sold milsurps back in the day. Always had the hots for an Enfield jungle carbine, never could afford one.

Can someone give me a link to where I can get a higher front sight to get it on target? Just drop the front sight down flush with the bottom of the rear notch. That's your hundred yard zero. I won a match with my Swede with that trick. My (Swedish) neighbor learned it in their army.
