Could it be carried by an African swallow?? Well, even if an African swallow were capable of carrying a coconut to England, it doesn't mean it's capable of carrying a Canada goose.

I've watched eagles eat everything from fish to deer. Not saying it killed the deer, but standing on a road kill, pissed when I pulled over next to it, just spread it's wings and hissed. We watch them all the time fish, and whack other birds, out on the lake. Somewhere arounding 450 nesting bald eagles, in the basin yearly!

Probably once it’s dead. Not sure how much flapping the Eagle could take in flight. I’ve seen fish (bass mostly) wiggle away from Eagles in front of my house several times and they are much lighter.

Back in the '80s, on a moose hunt, I witnessed a bald eagle catch up to a V formation of Canada's, invert and grab the last bird in line. Pretty cool!

It's weird when an apex predator (within his niche) kills and carries off another predator (apex within his own niche) that outweighs him by a good margin.

I’ve seen a Golden Eagle carry off a full grown Canada goose but a mallard or a full grown chicken is the biggest thing I’ve seen an eagle fly off with.

Could it be carried by an African swallow?? Run Away! Run Away! 🤣
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

I was talking to the State biologist at our gun club this summer, she was doing nest surveys on ospreys and we had a nest on top of a silo very visible from the road.
We also have eagles on the river. See told me an eagle can carry 1/3 of it's body weight and a mature eagle weights 12 lbs.

Have seen them kill Canadian geese here on our lake and mostly kinda fly/drag them onto the ice or shore to dine on them. Twice I have seen them fly a short distance, 100 feet or so, with a goose carcass that was already half eaten or more but never fly away with a whole goose.

In southern Michigan I saw a bald eagle feeding on a road kill deer. As I got close it flew off with about 2/3 of the deer. Dropped it in some peoples front yard. Bet they wondered where that came from?

Seen plenty of Baldys snatch and carry salmon. Probably not more than 7-8 lbs. Also seen them not be able to carry and they butterfly (swim stroke) back to shore with it.
