I have been tired of being cooped up in the house for the past 3+ weeks and finally took a drive east to prairie dog pastures and shot some prairie dogs and found a couple bunnies too. I love shooting these old guns, a Marlin in a very scarce model 1888 38-40 and a Colt Bisley in 38-40...

Both very cool guns! Good shooting, that makes for a hearty dinner.

Nice. Just going to ask if anyone still hunted cottontails. Haven't shot any for a season or two.. All my old friends that loved cottontails are gone to the happy hunting ground or moved out of town.

Old Marlin has a very long barrel! Only rabbits that I've seen around here recently were at night in car headlights.
