I've had a number of Gene's knives, and enjoyed trying various builds, but I found his #7 Drop Point was pretty much the sweet spot for what I like. I ordered one in October of 2018. Then, as we all know, Gene had some health issues, and is now semi-retired, no longer taking orders. However, he very kindly let me know he'd fulfill my long-standing order and today I received the news it's shipping! #7 Drop Point 7 1/8 x 3 S30V Polished Green Linen Micarta 12 Pin SS Mosaics Leather Sheath RH Loop. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/bvfPyd71/unnamed.jpg)

Brad,
I agree with your assessment of Gene's #7. It will do pretty much anything a hunter needs to do with a knife. That's a beauty!

That looks like perfection. If you ever decide to part with it I’d definitely be interested.

That is a beauty, enjoy it! I had a #7 years ago with weathered bone scales. It was typical Ingram perfection and like a dummy something else came along and I sold it. Regrets...

I doubt Gene started it, but his knives were the first i saw and bought that had mosaic pins.
Always a classy touch to a knife.
Same as David Winston was the first knives i got with g10 pins.

Congrats on getting your dream knife. Especially considering the circumstances.

12 days USPS "Priority" from MS to MT - apparently it's still the Pony Express to here! I tried to get the handle color right, but it's a bit more olive (and more to my liking) than the photo shows. Couldn't be happier with my last (and now only) Ingram. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/XJR2nNKG/IMG-1890.jpg)
