I read something the other month.... "If you don't believe that the government is incompetent just look st what they did to gas can nozzles...
On that note.. Doe anyone sell classic gas can nozzles so you can throw that flimsy plastic epa compliant trash in the garbage where it belongs??
Family Farm & Home, a chain here in MI sells a kit to retrofit new cans to old style. I did, out of necessity, buy one from Walmart with a push button valve thing. It works great and will probably be what I buy in the future.
Just buy the off road fuel jugs and be done with it. We get ours from VP and I saw several of them at Buc-ee's. I know those aren't everywhere, but they are a simple jug with a hose end an screw cap. Old school.
Our local farm store has some, but they are flimsy as f*** and don’t last. The biggest problem is the vent. The kit comes with a vent thingy mop, but it’s flimsy, too.

Television and radio are most effective when people question little and think even less.

Didn't see that requirement from your original post, but here you go.
These are 3 gallon versions and you don't have to fill them all the way up.
The VP ones are great for sxs, wheelers, mowers, and larger tanks. I think they make a 3 gallon one too. Well worth the price and they have an internal screen to catch the big chunks of debris if any.
The replacement nozzles will probably work just fine off Amazon if you already have a bunch of cans like most of us do.
