I did that with Brownells a while back.
Sent the wrong part twice. Three times on the phone.
over an hour each time. Kinda makes me shy of Brownells.

Been a long time since I called RCBS.
I had a set of .38/.357 dies. All dies worked perfectly on both cartridges ... EXCEPT ... the seating die was stamped .357 Magnum. The crimp roll was too deep in the die to crimp .38 Spl cases! 😖
Thought maybe RCBS would offer to send me a .38 Spl seating die.
Nope!
Finally had to remove .173" from the base of the seating die myself. It works like a champ now.
(there's more than one way to skin a cat! 😉)
