It will be interesting to see where the price settles. Will it continue to be a working man's (or woman's) gun, or a boutique piece???

At least they got rid of that ugly rail they put on the .45-70s

Any expectations of pistol calibers?
357 and 45 Calt would rock.
I'd still rather a 375Win.
25-20 and 32-20 would get my money, if had any.

The dumbass picks up an 1894, says it's a 336 and " the classic .30-30 with the square bolt" and doesn't even notice he screwed up and it's not a 336. Obviously doesn't know his products very well.

I was wondering about that too, but he did say classic square bolt 30-30. Did Marlin ever make one of those?

Yes they did. Up until 1948 when the round bolt 336 replaced the 36. Still you can easily tell that's an 1894 he picked up in the video. The action isn't long enough to be a .30-30. At one point in the video, just as he's taking the 1894 off the rack, you can clearly see the pistol gripped 336 hanging on the bottom rung of the rack just below where he takes off the 1894.

That was pretty embarrassing.

Sadly, I bet the farm Ruger drops the .35 Rem. It's great, but its a dinosaur, ( I love dinosaurs) and the new straight walls are almost the same ballistic wise. And have jazzy hype names they can market to the kids.

We got our first one at the shop yesterday. Gotta say, they're going a nice job on the wood. Still wish they'd have gone back to uncheckered though.

I know of an engineering manager that took credit for all rifles and shotguns designed in the department. He was showing off a new shotgun that came out and he claimed to have designed. He had to ask a subordinate that actually designed the shotgun about the safety and he did it in front of the press.

I prefer classic.
