Uhh, Let me check...lint, a quarter, 3 pennies, a dull Swiss Army Tinkerer, an 8-32 self tapping machine screw, a fired .30-40 case, a Citizen wristwatch with the band attachments ground off. That's about it.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

I was sure glad I had that full size .40 with extra ammo, as I almost had to spend the night in the woods without anything other than a snowmobile suit.

I ended up walking a few miles and got a signal to call 911 and the Forest Service came out to get me, right before sundown. First thing they asked is whether I was armed and I told them I was and if they needed to see the firearm I'd show it to them. The one guy said "no need, just don't take it out without letting us know first and you'd have been an idiot if you came out here without a gun."

They were very cool, helped me get my sled unstuck and then we rode down the mountain in total darkness, which was actually more fun than I'd have ever imagined.

That coulda been bad.

Glad it wasn't.

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

Sig P320 compact in 357 Sig. Most people up here wear several layers, and the 357 sig won't care about that.

Suspenders are your friend if you like 1911's.
Nah. Over the past 40 plus years, I've gone through long stretches of carrying 1911s IWB (most of the time, all steel models), and have never needed suspenders. They carry very well, and with a proper belt and holster, don't sag your pants. In fact, after a week or two, you won't even notice the gun.

I have almost the same exact story, but I was scouting the day before deer season in the mountains of northern Vermont. Got lost, and was set to spend the night (and was glad I had the Kahr P9 with me). A friend noticed I didn't come back, and called the police, who came out in the middle of the night and found me.

Same thing. First thing they wanted to know was whether I was carrying a handgun. I said yes, and (from a distance away) they said just unload it, which I did.
