Colt 1911-45 or para 1911 P16-40 and my SPS Ruger 357. Depending on what I'm wearing. Suspenders are your friend if you like 1911's. Nah. Over the past 40 plus years, I've gone through long stretches of carrying 1911s IWB (most of the time, all steel models), and have never needed suspenders. They carry very well, and with a proper belt and holster, don't sag your pants. In fact, after a week or two, you won't even notice the gun. You sure as hell notice it when you forget to put it on!

M60 or a Glock 42 with the extended mag.

I usually carry either a Glock 27 or a Ruger LCP if it's a bit warmer, but this weekend I went for an ill-fated snowmobile ride and figured I'd take the Glock 22 with a few spare mags, just in case. Just in case happened, as I got myself buried in a drift about 15 miles into the Custer Gallatin Forest and had to ditch the sled to try to walk out. I was sure glad I had that full size .40 with extra ammo, as I almost had to spend the night in the woods without anything other than a snowmobile suit. I ended up walking a few miles and got a signal to call 911 and the Forest Service came out to get me, right before sundown. First thing they asked is whether I was armed and I told them I was and if they needed to see the firearm I'd show it to them. The one guy said "no need, just don't take it out without letting us know first and you'd have been an idiot if you came out here without a gun." They were very cool, helped me get my sled unstuck and then we rode down the mountain in total darkness, which was actually more fun than I'd have ever imagined. You need a Garmin In reach. I have one and it was with me, but I was able to get a phone signal before I had to use the Inreach. I assumed, without knowing, that it would be better to call local Instead, and they got to me within 3 or so hours. If I couldn't get a signal I was going to hit the sos button on the Inreach.

Same all year long. Most of the time a full size S&W M&P 40. If concealment is a priority then a Kimber CDP Pro or a Taurus gx4 if in an area the gendarmes like to hold the gun in sheer cussedness. If visiting my buddies in the Cities I'll carry a Para 14-45 for kicks.
Everything is carried IWB with two magazines.

Sig 938 or S&W 37 3". Anything heavier pulls my pants down - even with a good belt.

I venture to remote areas also at times. A Garmin Inreach is your friend. You can get a sat phone as well but that is costly. An Inreach will work anywhere.

I buy uncrustables at Sams club for when I'm too lazy to make a sandwhich for work... they're pretty good and they fit in my big jacket pocket

642 with +P. If I’m going thru de hood or to the hunting club way out in the boonies, I snag my P220 .45 ACP.

Wilson Combat CQB Compact or a Glock 26 both in Milt Sparks VM2 IWB holsters. If I decide to make a quick trip to the grocery store I'll stick my Ruger LCP .380 in my pocket.
Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.
