Colt Wiley Clapp LW Commander .45 or Browning Hi Power. T model
Delta Elite when mostly in the truck.
You have to travel with class to match the person. Ha!

For the past 30 years it’s been a G23 but for the past few months I’ve migrated to a S&W 5903. It’s carried in either a Blackhawk OWB or a Galco open top IWB. The magazine inserted is a nickel plated Mecgar 17 round. Spare 15 round S&W in the vehicle and maybe on my person depending on circumstances. Cartridges are handloaded 124gr GoldDot over 6.4gr PowerPistol in once fired Speer cases.
If I revert to the G23 I use the same holsters. Cartridges are 165gr Montana Gold hp over 7.0gr PowerPistol in once fired brass.

I rotate between 3: 1911 Armscor Tactical 45 in an Old El Paso stitched leather holster. Tan in color to match 5.11 tan stitched gun belt.
Taurus G2 2 tone 9mm OW Kydex holster (I forget the brand) Very concealable. Black 5.11 leather gun belt. S
Glock 22 in 40 cal in a leather RH black Tauga holster. You better carry in the MS Delta cos of a large certain ethnic population. Even in church. Also have a large folder Benchmade Lum design or Spyderco Endura.

Same as always- - - - -a Big Johnson Which brings up a concern. With advancing age and the additional layers of winter there is a greater degree of difficulty in deploying said equipment in a timely fashion without an accidental discharge.

Usually a Sig 938 unless I’m wearing a heavier coat which lets me get away with something larger. Then it’s my Wiley Clapp Officer model 45. If I’m going hunting I normally carry my 3” model 60 with a lazer in case I need a finisher after sunset.

That was EE's favorite carry gun, too. I like my Sig P238 a great deal, which is the same concept, but in .380 ACP.

Colt 1911-45 or para 1911 P16-40 and my SPS Ruger 357. Depending on what I'm wearing. Suspenders are your friend if you like 1911's. Nah. Over the past 40 plus years, I've gone through long stretches of carrying 1911s IWB (most of the time, all steel models), and have never needed suspenders. They carry very well, and with a proper belt and holster, don't sag your pants. In fact, after a week or two, you won't even notice the gun. As I have gotten older my azz has declined somewhat and doesn't hold a belt up that well unless I really cinch it up tight. Wearing suspenders not of the stretch variety under my Tshirt makes all very comfortable with IWB or OWB holsters. Still wearing the belt of course.

Belts have been mentioned a few times. The last one I bought was from BullhideBelts on one of their weekly specials. 1 1/2” X 1/4” with double stitched edges. It’s the bee’s knees. Took a half pound off the carry weight. My old wide one had lost some shape and stretched enough that it didn’t do near as much as when new about 30 years ago. A heavy belt is probably more important than a holster when it comes to carry comfort.

Most of the time I carry a S & W 642 with +P ammo or my Colt 1911 in 45 ACP. I can carry the 642 all day and every day with no problems. You never feel you have it on. It is the feather weight model. I have a Sig 938 but can not make myself carry it. I have carried the 642 for so long it is my go to gun and very accurate.
