I purchased a lot of Imperial brass in 38-55 (once fired) at a show over the weekend. Looks like decent brass, although a little high in copper content from the color. I plan to load it "when" I get a Uberti 1894 in.

How does this Imperial brass compare to Winchester or Starline? It looks to have a thin neck, I'm guessing similar to Starline?

I'd gamble it's older brass, and if so maybe closer to the specs of the Uberti chamber?

Any thoughts or imput on it?

I've never reloaded any, but bought a bunch of Imperial .38-55 ammo on closeout in the early '90s. It was rated at 1600 fps, considerably hotter than the Winchester stuff, throws quite a fireball out of my 16" barreled Wrangler. I'd have no reason to question the quality of the brass.
