It cracks me up to think how much us gun nuts fret over having the perfect rifle set-up for whatever animal we're hunting, and this guy goes out with a cheap "Wal-Mart" Marlin with a Tasco in see-thru mounts and slays Goliath...

We estimated this guy at >600# and saw him frequently with another, slightly smaller bear. I had a run in with the smaller bear during turkey season at 30 yards and thought he went 450#. keyboard checker

Drhc116 New Member D Joined: Dec 2022 Posts: 13	Most of the big bears we take in SE VA/NE NC that are over 500 typically have good heads. You do see some odd stuff like small bears/big heads and big bears/little heads but typically when they get that big they are nice.

I love running hounds up here but to go down into the hills where it all started would be great. That and a lion hunt over hounds. Keep your powder dry and stay frosty my friends.
