I bought this rifle a few months ago on a whim. Shots great, beautiful rifle. Sako fit and finish.
But too nice for me to carry it around the mountains. Slide down hillsides with this rifle would break my heart.
Here is the ad from the person I purchased it from
This L61R in 280 AI is admittedly a little bit of a mutt as it is a L61R in an AV stock. I took the AV action and made a "long ranger" out of it and put the 22" barrel (rechambered from 280 to 280AI) on this L61R action and into the AV stock. You can see the adaptation in the picture of the rear end of the action. Original round count on the barrel unknown. No AI rounds fired. Bluing is excellent. Stock is straight-grained & plain with a right hand palm swell and in very good condition. There is some flattening of the checkering on the palm swell from usage. The recoil pad is original and in good shape but pretty hard from age. With Opti-lock rings (1") and bases the rifle weighs 7.8#.
The work above was very well done. Glad to send additional pictures or a video of the rifle to you email. The video will be too large to text, but shows every detail of the rifle
