Have a few 029s and will let this one go if anyone in area interested. Has not seen a bunch of use. Runs and operates as it should. 18” bar and chain. Live in Martinsburg, IA and can meet along lines of Hwy 34 down to Burlington, Ottumwa, Oskaloosa, or by Sigourney.

$350 cash or could swap on some Berger 17cal 25g bullets, CCI 450 primers, H380 come to mind. Not shipping.

PM if interested

I prefer the 029 family over the newer MS290 series; just seem to run a lot better. Still using the plain 029 I bought a couple years before this one. The MS290 I used got burned up when storing over night at the guys place I was cleaning up. He lost a bunch of vintage tractors.

It is and guess if anyone interested in central to southeast Iowa radius is needing a saw; also have the 261C with just a couple hours use on I’d let go to. Could send pics and stuff for it. 18” b&c, c is compression release. I’d say $450 on it. Super clean and low use. Had and still have to many saws.

I would think shipping by Speedee in the Midwest would be pretty easy and affordable.

That 261c is a bad ass saw! I’ve got one of those along with a 029s. My two favorite saws! Surprised you are selling those

Have 2 more 029s, most use is 044, 460 series saws, 066 and smaller ones for branching. Don’t know why I ever bought the 261, never owned an 025; and after my first 029 never used an 028 again.

I still have the 029 that I bought new 28 years ago. 20” bar I’ve cut firewood for myself, friends, family, used a chainsaw winch for pulling elk out of the woods, cut up a bunch of trees that fell across the road in an ice storm so I could get home out of the woods, etc… unbelievable saw! I think it may last me the rest of my life
