OP KC Campfire Tracker Joined: Mar 2001 Posts: 6,976 Likes: 1 Colorado Springs, Colorado USA	Never thought of Portugal as a tourist destination 'til the wife found a great deal on a week long tour including airfare. I know that the tour will visit Lisbon and Porto. But not don't know much more. What things are standouts? We often will extend, rent a car, and see more than just what's on the tour. Is it worth it to do that in Portugal? What are the highlights to see? Wind in my hair, Sun on my face, I gazed at the wide open spaces, And I was at home.

I'd be more interested in wandering about the countryside, looking into small towns. Much more interesting environments.
