Sure do! I was 13 which I believe was their target audience. What a great generation for music and all the crazy times that followed.
Make Gitmo Great Again!! Who gave the order to stop counting votes in the swing states on the night of November 3/4, 2020?

I remember Ed Sullivan announcing them the week before they appeared. He didn’t say exactly what the show was going to contain, but that the young people would be thrilled.
When’s he introduced them, he said the title “Beatles” wasn’t about the insect, but their distinctive sound and how it related to the “beat” hence the name “Beatles”
Outside the first appearance, all the criticism of Ringo as a drummer, was dispelled by Paul who said his timing was absolutely perfect and kept the rhythm in tempo to help create the iconic music they played for only a few years together as the Beatles giving the band the record of being the most dynamic band of Rock History…

At 11 years old, I couldn't understand all the hoopla, non-musical noise (to me),and girls in the audience going crazy! Have only marginally changed my mind about their music. Demonize me as you will!

My dad & I just got done milking the cows. I ran up to the house & my mom already had the tv on. It was wild with all of that screaming. I was 10.

All the girls in high school were talking about The Beatles coming up on Ed Sullivan. I had never heard of them, but the girls all knew! I watched it live.

Barely... But, yes, I vaguely remember it. I was just a little kid in my mom's lap, with the whole family (I'm the baby of the family). My main concern was why was my oldest sister, dancing around, screaming and crying. Why was my father angry and saying nasty things to the TV!

I owned the TV that night @ 10 years old. Don't know how I pulled that off except I'd ranted about it for a week.
Can remember dad saying look at all that hair, they'd have to climb a tree to take a crap to keep from crappin on their hair.

Saw it live. Like Elvis, the screaming girls were more than I could tolerate.
By the way, in case you missed it, Jeremiah was a bullfrog.

It was 59 years ago today that the Beatles made their first appearance in The USA on the Ed Sullivan show. I was 10. Yes, I remember it. I wasn't a big fan and today I am still not a big fan of the Beatles. I did like the Ed Sullivan show. It was a class act. kwg

I saw it on TV that night, due to the fact that my two sisters were talking about it beforehand so I had to see what all the fuss was about. I was 14 and thought they were pretty good. Back then a lot of adults made comments about their haircuts, and at first weren't they called "Puddin' Bowl Haircuts", or something like that? Before they simply became "Beatle Haircuts". Also recall hearing something about how they didn't move their hips in a dirty manner like Elvis did when he first hit the big time.
