Same here. Not to mention, IPAs in CO go with millennial mountain bikers and Subarus.

No, they are all over sour IPA's !

I used to like the occasional IPA back before the wokies got ahold of it. Now all the "craft" breweries seem to be in some kind of competition to see who can over-hop their IPA's the most. Most you get now is hopped to the point that it most nearly resembles Listerine....the original kind, not the flavored, low/no alcohol sissy schitt sold today.

See if you can find some Anchor Liberty Ale or Harpoon IPA. Those are classic American IPAs that are not overdone.

I don’t care for many IPAs. If I had to buy a six pack I’d probably go with Bootjack from Icicle brewing in Leavenworth Wa.

It’s about $12 a sixer

I know of no cheap IPA’s that are good. Two of my favorites are Deschutes Fresh Squeezed and Stone’s Tangerine Express, best in draft.

Can’t imagine hilling taters with 12% IPAs in the heat I’d drown in the creek

I don't think I have ever seen a "cheap" IPA unless it was a brewery mistake.
In regard to bang-for-buck, San Tan "Moon Juice" was the reigning champ for a long time but prices have now matched the competition. So now, the best values to me are Coronado "Never Better", Belching Beaver "Phantom Bride", and for a little bit more Stone "Arrogant Bastard".

I like the higher ABV versions because of the more malty taste. But at 7% to 9% a couple is it for me.
Sierra Nevada Torpedo is fairly priced and good.
New Belgium Voodoo Ranger and VR Imperial are each very good. The Imperial preferably but a little goes a long way. Probably my favorite.
Lagunitas Maximus is another good one.
Southern Tier 2X IPA is nice.
Unita IPA is in the 7% range and is very fairly priced.

None of these have the pure grapefruit juice twang to me. And there are many more out there. IPA has turned into a horse race for brewers.

Adding to the above sentiments “cheap” and “IPA” are mutually exclusive. Maybe Busch will come out with a 12 pack for $7.99 Or a Natty IPA. I’d give it a shot. Anybody ever try the PBR American IPA that was out for a while??

Just for the record, I like IPAs, mostly those made by Alaska Brewing.

All beer sucks to me. It’s for college kids.

Only exceptionally well made whiskey for me thanks.

Toppling Goliath, clown shoes, wicked weed and pipeworks are all in my fridge now.

Nothing is cheap.

I drink em all. Tend to stay away from sours, but won't push away a free one.
