Cool little rifle. I like that 6x45 cartridge. So easy to form brass from 223 rem brass and they are damn accurate. GLWS
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

To answer some questions - you can get scope bases for these original Kimber of Oregon rifles. The receiver was drilled and tapped for bases by Kimber when produced. I do have the original one-piece dovetail base that Kimber provided with the rifle and it will go with the gun. With that said - I would not personally use it as it looks more like a cheap rimfire base that uses rimfire clamp on rings and I would not trust it to hold a zero. I can help I.D. rings or bases for the buyer of this rifle. Also as noted a couple of times - this is a 100% factory rifle chambered in 6x45 at Kimber of Oregon factory when built. Zero modifications to the rifle as built by Kimber. Hopefully this helps.
Thanks

Well, the bases should be flat-top 11mm and steel. Rings can be sourced: original Kimber of Oregon, old Warne Premier, Talley, as well as Sportsmatch and other Euro outfits make them in grades from airsoft to premium. YYMV

Tha base that came with it does look like an 11mm dovetail and is a one piece base. But since receiver is tapped I went ahead and put a set of Talley bases and vertical rings on it as they seem more secure to me. But as noted, I will supply the original 11mm dovetail base with the rifle to buyer.

Th82547: I have the same Rifle in caliber 221 Remington Fireball - it shoots VERY well and I would describe the trigger as excellent! How would you describe your accuracy considering the low round count? BTT GLWYS I am "tempted"! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I just looked up my load data. I only had this rifle to the range once and shot three different loads. One with 58 gr Hornady V-Max, one with 70 Sierra & one with 80 Speer Deep Curl. That day was also same day I zeroed scope and unfortunately was extremely windy. With that said three shot groups were at 5/8" & 3/4" with the 58 & 70 grain bullets. It strung the 80 Speers left to right. Not enough of a test in my opinion. I am sure it has great potential with more load development. It does have a great trigger, laminated stock, free floated barrel & solid bottom action - so I am sure it will shoot with a load combination it likes. After looking at my load data - I apparently have only put about 20 rounds through it on the one day to the range counting sighter rounds. I am debating just putting this one back in the safe if I do not get any more interest at current price. Not sure you can buy this quality of a rifle from any manufacturer today at this price point.
