All my rifles at 1 pt in time were blued and wood. Then I started working on all weather subs couple of boat paddle 77 ss in 223 and 308, couple of ss/ plastic stock 700's in 6mm and 300 win and 1marlin xs-7 ss 7-08. I'm covered but still do daily maintenance in bad weather. My 6.5 hells canyon in 6.5 c is prolly pretty weather proof too. Mb

Here's an interesting corrosion test that I saved few years back. There's a big difference in the different products.

I've always used Johnsons Paste wax on everything and had no problems. I like it because it does not harm anything including your clothing like oil can do. It works on steel as well as the wood. I'm sure there are better products now, but I first heard of using it from old timers in the really cold states, many years ago.

You’re right. All of my positive experience with the product is worthless.

Don’t be bashful, point us in the right direction.

Yup.
