English Walnut blank of your choice, tastefully checkered, 1" Pachmayr RED pad, skeleton grip cap
Kahles Helia 1.6-8x42 with integral rail mount

A No4Mk2 action, zero bolt head, issue micrometer aperture sight. Issue front sight is fine.Some nice walnut, or maple, stocked as issued. Maybe a tasteful pistol grip sporter type butt.
Barrel. Contour as original, 1-10 twist, nice proper chamber and a .303 bore/ .311 groove. The bayonet lugs would be a " nice to have"
I think the No4MK2 is a fantastic rifle as issued. Just needs a better barrel. And fancy wood.
My old Faz, a 1955, could shoot 10 shot 6 inch groups at 300 yards regularly.

Ya man, I could slum this’n as well. Mom hunted with a 30-40 krag for years, guided her to several bucks with that rifle. Either or, both capable classic cartridges.👊🏻

My little brother still hunts deer and hogs with GrandDad’s old sporterized 303 Enfield even though he has several nice “modern” rifles. It’s his favorite.
