Cool [bleep]!!

That's a pretty cool mod right there.

I had one of his custom Owyhee Hunters in BG-42 that was one of the first custom knives I owned. That knife really caused me to dive into the custom knife field headfirst way back in the day. Not sure what happened to Mr. Cook, he had talent as a knifemaker.

I remember you posting about that Owyhee, but didn't realize it was BG-42. I've had 4, 2 each in S30V and S90V. Still have one. Scott is still around. Demand for his Lochsa got so crazy years back that he was able to switch to a no-order scenario where he makes the ones he wants to make and sells them by auction on his site. $3,000+ is pretty common pricing. I have 2 plain ones that were around Sebenza price way back in the day that are worth easily 4-5 times what I gave for them. Good on him - really magic spot for a knifemaker to be in.

That Sebenza is at our Idaho home. I'll be headed that way once I get a call that the bears are out and about. Will snap a pic then.

My last Owyhee:

Thanks. It came about because I never much liked the fixture hole in the show side scale on the Sebenza. Was always looking for something to stick in there, and a machinist friend said, "Hey, you know what would be cool....?"
