Stupid people will always miss the message to try and be analytical. The smarter person recognizes this a not a pat on Carter's back, but a wake up call to the idiots that thought Carter was worse. I agree Mike. My first thought was this will not end well. I was one of very few back then that was adamantly against good ole Tom Ridge and the forming of Department of Homeland Security. Instead of firing the people that were incompetent we tripled down and made more of them.

Plus there is many times more information available to people today than there were during Carter's term as POTUS. During Carter's term people believed what the MSM told us, now you can't tell who is telling the truth and who is pushing an agenda.
