My prediction... this thread will outlive the lifespan of the 'fire.

Not taking sides, both sides can and have drawn their lines in the sand... pure, cheap entertainment at this point other than it does "cost" spectators time in the field pursuing their own passions. Time is a scarce commodity in the big picture...

Admittedly,I only get 29 weeks of vacation a year and haven't shot since yesterday. Hint.

Typical "slow" day yesterday and only bolted up (2) new rifles and swapped bottom metal on another. A 7" RPM 22 PPC AFI,7" 223 SALAMI and a 7.5" 243 Grendel. Google as you must. Hint.

I may have stuck Reupolds on all of 'em...then again. Hint.

What about the flashlight? Does it have a roll in all this "success" or is just there for looks?

Stick, a couple of observations...

1. Even your "time" is ultimately scarce and "limited" there in Paradise!!!

2. Even you have had strong opinions on optics, platforms, etc., "learned" , and moved on to new "things." That will likely continue, as will your position in the sand so to speak!!!

3. You will continue to "teach" others in your own unique way... a benefit to many of us. Same goes for some of your protagonists! The "truth" is a slippery, personal, and evasive thing.

Thanks for your effort to teach... and entertain! Serious BUT still LAUGHING a little bit, too, at ALL of us!!! I hope you can laugh, too! I think you do.

1) My MASTERY of multi tasking,is without rival

2) Not even I,can gun wares until they are Invented

3) I'm afforded the luxuries,of not being forced to guess and dissenters crack me the fhuqk up. It' never been difficult to savvy who shoots and who don't

Stuffing new wares and a few elder in the crummy, chasing #1 GrandBaby and will go gun some come ups...with nary a Reupold in tow. Hint.

Or perhaps some other baked good?

My question is, is the problem that when dialing for range they don't do so reliably/return to zero? Or do they fail to hold zero period?

I ask because I'm looking hard at a fixed 6X the intent being to zero and shoot/hunt. No dialing wanted. Set and forget.
I dont dial. Ive owned a ridiculous amount of leupolds and have never had one fail

Welcome to the bizarre anomaly that is the 24 HR campfire optics forum. A place where Leupold scopes go from being a well liked brand at 100 other websites with no abnormal level of problems reported to having a "CLAIMED" failure rate of about 75% by a healthy chunk of the local crowd here. Weird Huh?
