We drift fish areas like I mentioned for catfish often and our Helix basically just shows the depth and bottom.

That surprises me a bit. I’m the farthest from a tech guru with these devices but my Helix shows me fish just fine while wind drifting or moving with a current. This is northern MN and north to the territories so the waters are pretty clear, could yours be having problems thru dirty water? Just asking.

Interesting. I have cranked up the sensitivity on my Helix 10 to max in slower river waters and never see anything other than the bottom.
