OPs mule Flower was one of the nicest animals I have seen. Oh to be rich and handsome instead of short ugly and poor!

Pictures finally loaded and it's a Gif. Nice.

Meanwhile for a bump maybe the OP can recognize this trail head.

Wood river.
No mule this year, Mule Days is the same weekend as the gaited horse sale

Wood River it is.

That one was a bit easier than the HooDoo corrals on Sage Creek.

Anyone looking for a horse or mule that has seen all of it and has all the tee shirts should check out the OP.

Won't be cheap but will offer much value.

I have never met the OP but ridden a bit of the same rough country in a small pool of hunters.

Quarter stock is the slow twist of the equine world. Absolutely zero reason to ride rough square going stock unless you just don’t know any better. Riding those would be the equivalent of using a long barreled 30-06. It will absolutely get the job done but why do it that way now?

I'm going to look at a "new" TWH tomorrow a.m.

Had one a few years ago that was awesome but we met late in his life just as arthritis was setting in. He went to another farm for retirement where he lived a life of luxury, but the people had to move so I recently him back as companion to a project (abused) horse. No riding him anymore, his days are few.

I made do with renting horses since the late 70's from a well known source in Wyoming. Did ok considering but sure had a few moments.

Can only imagine having an animal like the ones in the OP's videos. What a great experience that would be. Thanks for sharing.

Managed to tag a sheep near here, probably an easy call for you guys from the area.

Blackwater Arch, I guess the pilot Billy Monday flew a plane through there.
