Good pigs!

What you do with them?

Dam. didn't even grab the back straps? some of those look like perfect eaters.

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

One of the sidebars on my pig hunting/eradication program is the dead ones get a ride in the truck to a bad boy rehab facility. They LOVE fresh pork!

Buzzards lose.

Nice job hanco!
Don't blame you from hauling those nasty creatures off!
BLEECH! 😖

You guys eat 'em if you want to. I've eaten quite a few and never got sick.
Several years back, a neighbor killed two and left them laying in his pasture.
Those things laid right there rotted away! Buzzards never touched them.
I don't care to eat something that buzzards won't touch!

Damn David, you’re going to need more bullets if you keep blasting away with that 32-40.

Great looking critter, congrats, and beautiful rifle!

I am looking forward to hearing how much it weights. So you do not eat any of them?

Well. Like most things I’ve touched in the last couple of days, dropped the scale, broke it. Took it apart, don’t understand how it works.

I don’t eat them.

I’ve got a camera about 300yds from the house and another about 700yds away. Both are getting hit by big pigs this week but I’m not sitting my butt out there at 2am.

1/16 cable from 2x2 to cap to back fence for a trip wire. The cable is hard to see. Cable clipped to 3/8 rebar stake also.

After seeing the damage a group of Hogs can do down in TX I have learned why the places that have them work so hard to try to get their numbers down. The damage looked like a harrowed field after a planting had been attempted. The hogs ability to root even stumps out of the ground puts them high on my hunt list.
Getting to use a 99 to cull a few seems like a good fit.

Those little piglets look like they could be made into good eats. Kendall Fredricks marinates and BBQ's the little ones whole.
I watch his YouTube videos about his hog trapping and cooking. Smart man that Kendall.

I went down to Texas in March and shot some pigs, first time for me. We brought 100 pounds of meat back, and after eating some of it.....

I don't know why Texas still has a hog problem. They are delicious! They are so good, I figured you guys would have eaten them all by now. grin

They don’t last long, buzzards on them within the hour, coyotes hit them that night, a dozen will be gone in two days. It be interesting to put a game camera there for a couple of nights.

Think I would offer them to poor people. Well would charge them something for cutting it up but pretty inexpensive. Trashing them seem's like a waste. if I didn;t do that, I'd have quite a bit in the freezer. Just can't see trashing food.

I’d you decide to eat wild hog, you have to cook the [bleep] out of it. Trichinosis is a real thing! These hogs eat anything they can get their snouts on. Store bought pork is a safer bet.

I’m guilty of eating my fair share. My wife loved shopping for them. She likes one that with head and legs cut off would fit in a 48 qt. Igloo. We have had more than a few BBQed whole. If you’re expecting wild hogs to taste like store bought they don’t. Wild hogs pretty much keep the fat run off. They also feed on different food than domestic. Hasbeen
