Here is another gun I am selling to help out with some medical bills. The gun has a "WD" barrel code with means it was made in August of 2009. It is made on a true 20 gauge frame ( serial number has a U suffix) and the gun weights 6 lbs 12 ounces. It has a 28" vent ribbed barrel chambered for 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells with one Modified choke tube installed.

The stocks are the unique brown stained laminated Birch stocks with black dyed glue lines ,Remington only made the 870 Express stocks like this for a few years and I think they were the best looking 870 Express models they ever made.. The buttstock stock is all original with the thick Remington factory pad at a 14" LOP. The overall condition is just about 100% . I had the box ,it would pass for brand new.

My price on this is $395 plus $40 shipping provided your FFL accepts shipment s from individuals. Add $20 if I must ship it from an FFL.

Nope. It is not a slug gun.

Did Remington ever d&t the 870 receivers for scope mounts?

I have an 870 with a cantilever rail mounted on the barrel, but don't recall Remington putting factory d&t holes for bases on 870 or 1100 receivers.

Some of the newer 870s are . 1100s we're to my knowledge but some of the 11-87s are D&T
