If they had any sense they would install a couple of nuclear reactors.

And if any country could benefit from installing a few reactors it would be Australia, we have the yellow cake and a lot of space to stash them out of sight and out of mind.

Australia also has a very large area that is off limits to most of the world loaded up with asbestos.

They could put almost anything there and no one would know it was there.

Wittenoom, no one in their right mind would breath anywhere near the place.

I worked in a Steel Fab Shop back in the mid 80s.
We were welding up some very heavy large columns and they gave us Asbestos blankets to cover the Columns to protect us from the preheat Required before we could start welding.
Thee were not encapsulated asbestos blankets they looked like the new and improved Ceramic blankets on the market these days.

Lots of dust flyin around in that shop back then.

If I remember correctly it is the blue asbestos that is the killer.

A woman and her 2 young kids walk into a Walmart where they are met by the greeter.

The greeter says "Cute kids you got there, ma'am. Are they twins?"

The lady looks confused and says "No, they're not twins. They're 2 years apart. Why would you ask that?"

The greeter says "Because I can't imagine someone wanted to sleep with you twice."
