Just thinking take that barreled action and put it in a factory 700 stock and ya got a hunting rifle. On the other hand take that stock and fit a 700 barreled action in it and ya got a match rifle. Anyone seen a bench stock made of plastic?

What bullet are you pondering? Well I have already loaded some 130g ELD-Ms On the menu.... Berger 130g VLDs 139 and 136g Scenars. 139g Vapor trails. My favorite the Berger 140g LRBT. All depends on how well they shoot. Dave

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.
The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.
Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

Ha. My spotters 12 pound 6.5x47. There a heavily modified Tooley Tracker. This is dimensionally identical to the 17 lb rifle. 3 piece Walnut laminate duplicated by Carl Bernosky. dave

Freaken Varget. All 5 of them .4 of a grain apart went into this at 100. Virtually the first time out.... 36.2 looks good as any and then I'll run the seater at 500. dave

35.5g of H4895 Changed the load. And it's not a 130g hybrid. It's a 130g Berger VLD. Shot 32 out of a possible 40 for match winner. Afternoon conditions were outright crap. dave

Nice!! Isn't the 6.5GT basically a 6.5x47 Lapua?? Yes. I can't push the 140s as fast as the -47. But I'm pretty close. Case efficiency is a funny thing. Dashers and BRAs will leave targets standing. So far this thing has not. Never figured I'd be this happy with a VLD bullet. Dave

2nd open means that I shot second place on the first day of our two day championship. I hit 32 out of 40. The winner shot a 33. Tomorrow is for all the marbles. And it's not over till it's over. Wish me luck. dave

Ended up second place over all. Thanks . Pretty happy with the way the thing shot. Conditions the second day were much worse . I shot 26 out of a possible 40. Dave

Those original HH barrels are the best I’ve seen on the inside. Freshly cut chamber tells the story. Nice rig!
