I made the mistake of shooting a 6-24 arken on my competition 22lr the other day so now I’m interested. The one I shot was a sh4 gen2 6-24 and while I liked it, above 20x the reticle pretty much disappeared for all 3 people using it. The reticle just got very fuzzy, washed out, etc.

For anyone that has used both scopes is the epl4 6-24 the same way above 20x? I know it’s supposed to have better glass and if it stays clearer above 20x the extra $100 would be worth it for me, if not I’ll just get the sh4.

I've been shooting a EPL4 for a couple of months, and never had the reticle disappear at 20x or above. Glass is very good, mechanics have been great so far. It's sitting on a Sako S20 PRC.

I have one as well and not had any issues above 20X. I have mine on a 6mmBR, taken it to 1250 yards with no issues.

I can't recall ever turning mine past maybe 14x......

This was the 2nd sh4 I had looked through and the first one wasn't good at all on 24x but I thought it was maybe how the owner had the diopter adjusted. The one I used yesterday wasn't any better no matter how we adjusted it.
