Looking for info on a 12 gauge Philly Sterlingworth. Stock is in good/fair shape with original finish with obvious dings, but no cracks. Bore has mirror finish. Serial number is 87xxx. Bluing is clean, no pitting. Receiver tarnished with wear from handling. Beautiful shotgun, but just sits. Would like to pass it on to someone that would use it. Any info and potential value would be appreciated. Thanks.

Barrel length, chokes, ejector or extractors? Many factors to consider. An honest Sterlingworth 12 gauge in good condition somewhere from $800-$1200. Condition is so important to $$ evaluation. Ejectors add to the value, so do 32” barrels.

Appreciate the insight. It does not have ejectors. I would put the condition as average. Has plenty of usage marks and wear.

A 12 Gauge Sterlingworth extractor gun with average condition is the most common and least collectable Fox. That being said, they are well made and make great shooters, they just aren't bringing much these days.

I see them around for $600 to $900 frequently, definitely more for a 32 inch barrel as stated above and a lightweight 26 inch barreled version as well.

Appreciate all the info. 28” barrels. She’s a beauty, but seldom gets used. Trying to figure if I should send her down the road for somebody else to enjoy. Thanks again.

Bore size and condition. % of blue, case color and wood condition. I am a long-time collector of all American doubles.Glad to give you a estimate and would also be interested in the gun. I am located in Mexia Texas.
