This is my favorite performance by the Band. Danko is great, maybe not in sense of a classically trained singer but it is his perfect song.

Garth is great on here also.

Well, I love you so much
And it's all I can do
Just to keep myself from telling you
That I never felt so alone before

Based on the audience and The Band's response Van knocked it out of the park.

Best concert I ever went to was Van in the 80's.

Jeopardy question of the day

The Byrds or The Band?

I'll take the Animals for $100

Levon puts The Band over the top by a slim margin.

I heard that Robbie Robertson never sang much live, but when they did The Last Waltz, he was singing on about every tune. You can see Danko and the boys looking at him in a few spots like “WTF?”

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

The Band..I Met Levon in Woodstock NY.. (the town, not the concert) great guy who simply loved playing music.. and having fun doing it.

I did see them play at a small informal fund raiser in Kingston NY.. easy going friendly group.. and their music was not only outstanding but unique..

My all time favorite..

Love The Band, but.. The Byrds. And I can't stand any of those commies.

Somewhere I read that they used to turn Robertson's mic down at every oppurtunity.
