Kills me to say it, but my Taurus TX22 competition is awesome maybe 4-5 bricks in. Zero issues. 15 round mags. Full sized grip. Optics ready.

If you've got a Ruger Mark 1, 2, 3, or 4 laying around, you can put a tactical Solutions upper on it for about $325.

I put one on my Mark 3 a few years ago. Excellent, with a Fast Fire III mounted. At the time they were about $225.

I picked up a Ruger Mk IV 5.5" with the threaded barrel thinking "can" down the road some time. Burris Fast Fire III or Holosun, not sure which yet. That will be a while. I might accuracy test it with a conventional scope first to see what it is worthy of in the way of other optics. I just stuck my old 2-7X Simmons gold medal pistol scope on a 4-5/8" barreled single six. (Ruark said "use enough gun", Tom says "use enough scope." :))
