UPDATE:
HoRosun only took three months to get me an optic that works (for now.)
And I had to badger them before they did so.
Currently running well. Good, mostly, to hear. It was this thread that convinced me to give one a go. Ended up with a Glock 45 and SCS. The 45 just felt better in the hand than the 19. So far I have zero complaints. Thanks 'flave!

Didn't figure there was a bad choice, so went with feel.

Right.[/quote]
Glock-o-philes remind me of cult members mindlessly following a leader. If Glock made plastic stick and call it bat perfection they would buy it. I would buy G19 with factory threaded barrel (same length as G17 barrel) and call it a day. Glock offers Gen 5 with threaded barrel and suppressor height sights, but no slide cut for optics. They made G19 Gen 4 with threaded barre, optic cut slide, but with regular height night sights. These mind you are guns made for special operations troops who often wear night vision devices on missions, why put tritiated sights on such guns? This is typical stupid stuff they pump out just like Glock 45 which is actually chambered for 9mm Luger. That gun is black-colored version of firearm rejected in US military trials later released minus manual safety to the public as G19x. The latest wonder is called G47 which is G17 slide with G19 recoil spring assembly, because Glock owners will be changing slide/grip combos to get extra .5" of barrel or grip with couple extra rounds in magazine. The 24 round and 33 round magazines function perfectly in both G17 and G19. Now instead of offering Americans rotary barrel gun they are making G26 and G19 available in .380ACP.
