I’ll be heading to the Detroit, MI area this weekend and would like some recommendations on good gun/pawn shops in the area.

I haven’t had much luck with google and I’m guessing you guys might have some good lesser known spots to check out

Michi-Gun in St. Clair Shores always has some very nice stuff to look at.
Williams Gun Sight in Davison might be worthwhile too.

Not sure that any local pawn shops will have much for guns other than junk or shady stolen guns.

If you are looking for sheer volume, nobody in the state beats Guns Galore in Fenton. All their used guns are out in racks, and a few new ones. But most of their inventory is in the warehouse in back, in boxes. It is a buyers store more than a lookers store, and don't expect long conversation from the salesman. But their prices often compete or beat what can be found online, nationally.

Check hours before you go. Some gun stores are not open Sunday

Andy’s in Romeo if you’re into military firearms and accessories. No new guns, but he usually has some 99’s, Remington 8’s and 81’s, Browning A5’s, Ithaca 37’s, Winchester 94’s and a couple 64’s. and a long rack of older .22 rifles. Has a cut away Mauser 98 that I always find interesting. A lot of military handguns that one never sees in traditional stores. Good Luck!
