Use a Partition, an A-Frame or even a Remington Corelokt, all are much better big game bullets.

I visited the Sierra booth at this year's NRA Convention. They were handing out sample bags of some new 175gr bullets that resembled MatchKings. I was told they're made for hunting and that Sierra wants feedback from hunters who use them this Fall. I got several 25ct bags to work on load development and will see how they work. My guess is they want to complete with Berger's Hunting VLDs.

Interesting...

I've had great results from the Sierra GameKing bullets which were both accurate and effective. Never tried the Sierra Matchking on game, a buddy did and he was not pleased.

There are plenty of accurate and effective hunting bullets from which to choose.

I agree. I'd just get some Hornady interlocks, game kings, Winchester powerpoints, etc. etc. and call it a day. Deer die easy. If you don't care about blowing the schidt out of them one time, or the bullet penciling through the next time go with the 175 SMK. Love those bullets on paper and steel though.
