Nice deal!

I own a older Stag like that.

It works good, fairly accurate. Likes the 62 grain green tip stuff.

What model# is that one?
Gotta be a newer Gen model?
Was tossing around the idea of an aim point also.
Did some surfing on the web and seen that primary arms redot with the motion on off feature.
Kinda got me interested it.
Didn't read any bad reviews on it.
They have another one with a acss reticle or something like that.
I'm gonna give the 2 moa red dot one a try.
Probably be the last thing after the elf trigger and VG6 comp break I put on it.
Do a little work on the milspec trigger in the interim.
Inexpensive reduced pd wolf trigger spring and disconnect spring kit and some selective polishing on areas of the trigger assembly. Like 8 bucks.
Put a ergo pistol grip on it like 14 bucks
Put that front sight chucked in a drill and file it down tapered round on its top 1/3rd to its normal square
Get it down from being 7 to 8 moa wide in sight picture to 4ish moa wide.
Get 2 or 3 brands of 55gr
Same with 62 gr.
See what it likes to group zero it to that flip up

Baseline stuff before the elf trigger, vg6, red dot.
Have to adjust zero after that stuff is gotten also.

Something to do in the doldrums between now and Sept 1 dove opener, fall tree rat and then deer season.

Got this Black nitride Jebs .665 choke for the AL 390 silver mallard turkey gun yesterday.
That Carlson. 665 was shooting 205 to 210,s with win LB 1.75 oz 6,s into 10" at 40yds with it being bead only sighted.

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]
Got a email my sight for the gun was not in stock yesterday , after calling to confirm it was in stock before ordering on Thursday.
SMH....
So tommorow I'm calling up a place called Dodds sporting goods in Ellenville?? or Ellenboro?? WV to confirm what they show on eBay and on their website as being in stock before I order it again..

Once I get a sight on this gun.
Go out and shoot some of the long beards in it again.
Maybe I can pick up 15 to 20 on the avg pellet count with the jebs.
And just say fugg it to the Thought of TSS 9,s
But I am gonna shoot TSS 9,s thru it just to see what it can do.
Just to satisfy my curiosity and make a decision one way or the other.
Ideal situation would be LB,s and TSS both shoot to same POA/POI
And then that would influence my decision somewhat also.
TSS 1st shell
LB,s the other 3 in the Mag tube.
Both 390 series of mine are 3 +1

Not sure of the model #, but it was bought new 2 or so years ago at my buddies LGS. He had a pile of them he wanted to move and gave me a great price. Had the Aimpoint laying around as a spare so just threw it on and did a quick 50yd zero and cowitnessed the irons with my defensive rounds. Put at least 10 mags of 55 -77 grainers through it with no issues, cleaned it and put it away, where it sat until you mentioned Stag in your post.

Made in Wyoming one?
They have alot of model variants.
Stag bailed outta CT
Old owner out their had a fed case prosecution IIRC.
Making some with no serial #,s or accountability stuff??
Then Company got sold and relocated out to WY.
Def more gun manufacturer friendly than CT....

Mine is one of the CT ones from back when.
Matter of fact I'm gonna see if the DOM per serial # can be Google fu,d.

This one is 150 bucks.
The auto on and off thing is what intrigues me.
If it takes a crap.
Return it.
Was in stock Thursday.
Got a notify me now on it.

The 200 buck one has the acss reticle.
Not interested in a "busy" reticle.

See how it works.
Got a buttload of spacers so it shouldn't be an issue getting it to Co witness float above the front sight post.

Awww schit...
Came put looking like tiny pics..
Wait one.
