What stock option would yall recommend as far as a lighter option for my B14 Ridge 308 Win?

Preferably something reasonably priced.

Thanks

What does your current stock weigh? Without knowing that, it's hard to suggest a stock.

If I'm not mistaken the Bergara is built with a 700 footprint. With that the options a pretty much endless.

I’ve pulled several stocks off of them and they don’t seem that heavy to me. The weight is in that #5 barrel.

Well, unfortunately you have to pay to play. The Greyboe Trekker is $499 and will only save you about 4 ounces. Wildcat Composites are pretty affordable, but cost money to finish, and I don't know if they are being shipped out of Canada anymore. Stocky's CF stocks can get you down to 25 ounces, and they are around $550. Manners UC can save you 10 ounces plus, but they aren't cheaper than the options above.

Pretty sure a Rem 700 stock will fit. Over the years I've bought 4-5 McMillan's off the classifieds here. It may take a few months for one to turn up, but it's been faster than ordering new. You may not get the exact color you like, but the price is usually cheaper than new too. An Edge will save you at least 1/2 lb.

That is only $50 more than a B&C and it's 14+ oz lighter.

I'm not sure the weight listed is 100% accurate, maybe someone has more info.

Yes if the CA Mesa is truly 18oz I would surely be interested.

Thanks

The reason I posted I'm not 100% sure on the weight is the stock color option Brownell's is offering make it the Composite Sporter, which weighs 32 +/- ounces. Christensen does have the FFT stock listed at 18 ounces but it is $600 from their web page.
