I read where the 99H was the takedown designation. But I have seen 99Ds as takedowns as well as 99Bs as takedowns.
So is it that 99Hs are always takedowns but other variants were also made as takedowns - I am referring only to factory versions.
Enlighten me

99H is always a solid frame.
Model 1899 250-3000 always takedown. 1899A, 1899A SR, 1899H could be ordered as takedowns (1899H in 22HP always a takedown).
99B, 99D, 99F, 99G, 99K - takedowns

1899B Octagon solid barrel only all 1899 22HP solid frame had take down
barrel only as seen to date.
Only seen one takedown with Octagon barrel ( Factory yes or no )

We saw what seemed like a factory takedown 99T also... Never say never.
