Awesome Skeen.

How big, grain weight wise, or overall length will it handle?

Hey, brotha' Mackay! C'mon, man, I don't know any of that. blush laugh

Magnum Research includes a short list of recommended ammunition to feed it. First on the list is American Eagle 240 grain JHP.

So, that's all I've ran through it. No hiccups.

It's just a fun gun, a range toy, no attempts to wring minute of anything accuracy out of 'er. grin

Some of the most fun I ever had with my britches on was a couple of mags of 50DE at an 8" plate from 25 yards.

They certainly are fun at the range. Shooting buddy of mine has one and we ran a few boxes through it one day and had a blast.

Old Lett's bought years ago when they were closing. I have boxes of them. Did you get the 45 Colt Bisley as well?

These are Hogue's bought many year ago from their clearance section...

Grin..

I wonder how it would do with a polymer coated 300 grain wide flat nose.

I picked some up and am going to do some development work.

They basically are like this, but coated.

Ed, I do not have the Bisley Turnbull but I do keep an eye out for one. The right gun, at the right time and price and I'm a buyer. smile Matter of fact, I bid on one last week but it went for more chips than I was willing to throw in.

Sometimes I've gotta get out of my own mind and remember what they sold for new isn't a reflection of their market value today. laugh

I'll be out this week chasin' deer with this 'un. The Ruger ol' cap-n-ball. 😊

Not quite a Magnum, but 35 grains of Triple 7 FFFg pushing a Kaido 220 grain conical.

Ha!

That box was a gift from an industry friend. Precursor to C4. Haversacks of C3! WWII era. I have, or used to have a blasting caps box around here somewhere.

I personally always avoided that skill set. Cross trained many things, but I stayed away from that.

Pimpy.

And I agree on the blued Colt notion.

I would buy a new one if that were the case, probably ditch the rear sight though.
