Maybe we can spot a bear. We'll cut this up Sunday. And for some perspective on the bullet performance, since it was steep downhill when I shot, it clipped the spine and went out a rib. He was about 35-40 yards away when I realized that it really wasn't one of the range cows! He never did notice me. I had the wind and terrain and just remained still. Shooting him would have been a breeze. I was only armed with a .22 auto pistol, so I felt a little naked... I watched him for about 10 minutes before he wandered off. Killing him and getting him out of that hole would open a huge can of worms for me... Anyway - great story and congrats on a nice bruin! BT53 "Where do they find young men like this?" Also pulled the sled, the couple of hundred yards to the trail, I use the jet sled to take out deer and fire wood. Deer Camp! about as good as it gets!
